Comings and Goings

Wabi Sabi Sushi Bar has opened in the Public Market where Big Eye Raw Bar used to call home. Pascucci is moving (after 26 years) to the former Alitos/Cadiz property on the 500 block of State St, and The Daisy should open in the coming weeks at Victoria Court after an extended construction period. Acme Ventures, the operators behind the Lark, Tyger Tyger, Loquita and others will open Pearl Social, an "intimate cocktail and music bar" in the former Les Marchands space.

In more somber news, recent closing announcements include Soul Cal Smokehouse in the Public Market, The Monarch and Silver Bough in Montecito, Yume Sushi on Chapala St, and Bear & Star in Santa Ynez. Also, the Enterprise Fish Company building is on the market for sale which could mean the restaurant will close soon.

Rather than ending on a sour note, just a reminder that the new drive-thru Starbucks is open on Turnpike so now you can get all the pumpkin spice you want on-the-go!
