Meiner's Ace Hardware will backfill the 45k+ sf that Orchard Supply Harward (OSH) occupied at Fairview Shopping Center and Dollar Tree will soon open in approximately 10k sf adjacent to Sprouts in the same center. Not sure if it’s a coincidence, but the office market there has gone from close to 12% vacancy in 2016 to under 6% currently. Continuing a trend we have seen over that span of time, Vitamin Angels just leased over 11k sf at 6500 Hollister and Smart Office Interiors moved from the Funk Zone into 13k sf off Pine Avenue near Old Town. Lastly, south SB county finally allowed their first drive through Starbucks – it will be on the corner of Calle Real and Turnpike just off the freeway. Now you can get a double-double animal style and an iced coffee without ever getting out of the car!
