Setting the Stage

Local venues are rolling out their 2021 schedules and grand re-openings! The Santa Barbara Bowl will kick off on August 21st with comedian Chelsea Handler; The Lobero Theater has its first in-house concert on July 31st (soon to be announced); The Arlington Theater will debut with Rodrigo y Gabriela on September 14th; The Granada Theater will spotlight Music Academy of the West with a series starting July 11th; and Soho Restaurant & Music Club has its first scheduled concert on September 19th with Willie Watson!

Secret performance groups are also making a comeback. Don't Tell Comedy ("Comedy's worst-kept secret") returned to SB with their first show last weekend, and I'm personally hoping SoFarSounds (secret pop-up gigs) schedules a local show as they open back up nationally.
